Hatch Patterns for AutoCAD
installation and use
Overview
If you have not downloaded the hatch files yet, go to our hatch page and follow the instructions.
You will quickly notice that these hatches in in the native AutoCAD .pat format, not in the commonly used PAT hatch exchange format. So the installation is a little different. PAT files work for patterns made up of straight sides. Most of our stone patterns have rough edges, so we needed to take different approach to sharing them with you.
How to Incorporate a Stone Curators Hatch Pattern in your AutoCAD Design Project
To download the hatch file go to our hatch page and follow the instructions.
The downloaded zip contains a folder for Revit and a folder for AutoCAD.
Unzip the downloaded file.
Inside you will find a folder for Revit and a folder for AutoCAD.
Save the AutoCAD folder to your computer.

Click the Application menu (the big “A” at the top left) and click on Option Button.

In the Options dialog box switch to tab “Files” and select “Support File Search Path”.

Click “Add” Button and then Click “Browse…” Button.

Browse the “Stone Curators AutoCAD Hatch Master” file from its saved path and Click “Open” Button.

The path of “Stone Curators AutoCAD Hatch Master” will be visible, then Click “OK” Button to load this folder in the AutoCAD.

Apply hatch command by “H” and enter.

Hatch creation toolbar will appear, Browse for “Stone Curators AutoCAD Hatches” from the down arrow button.

Select a specific hatch that you wish to add to your design project.

Click in the region to apply the hatch pattern.
